The Jungle Dawn LED Bar is more powerful as a linear flood than any other commercial LED—sleek, bold, powerful and able to deliver the energy that is needed to allow plants to grow by increasing visible light levels within the terraria. Bright enough to encourage active basking in arid species, provide lush growth for plants, and increase visible light levels dramatically. These new Full Spectrum High Output LED diodes put out an unparalleled 141 lumens per watt.
Jungle Dawn LED Bars can be used with all standard sized mesh top terrariums. Each unit arrives with a power cable, integrated switch, a link cable, and a fittings kit to allow you to easily fit the light bar inside of a vivarium. The fixture can be easily linked together with other LED bars to form a chain of up to 10 units. It can also be linked with Arcadia's ProT5 UVB fixtures to reduce the number of wall sockets needed per enclosure.
Features
- Advanced LED bar with complete kit for terrarium.
- Full spectrum light mimics natural sunlight to enhance biological processes, growth and overall wellbeing. The design of the light prevents dark zones, and provides uniform light distribution.
- Mount your Jungle Dawn LED Bar on top of, or inside a vivarium, as the versatile design lets you decide how you'd prefer to install it.
- Suitable for Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, Chameleons, Tortoises, Turtles & Terrapins, Corn Snakes, Tree Frogs, Crested Geckos and Royal Pythons.
- Includes LED light bar, power cable, daisy chain link cable to connect to other LED/UV systems, and fittings kit to allow you to fit this bar inside of a vivarium.
- Fixture is approx. 18.5" in length. Fits standard 18" terrariums or for aquariums.
- 22 watts.
More about Jungle Dawn LEDs
Using a specifically designed mix of full spectrum, high output LEDs, this light bar can project a vast quantity of light with a very high PAR value. It projects a full spectrum of light that mimics visible natural sunlight (6200 Kelvin) along the Photosynthetic Active Response Curve but without using PAR-limiting separate red and blue diodes. As such the Jungle Dawn fitting has a high PAR, a high percentage of PUR, a high CRI and no unnatural purple hue.
Jungle Dawn uses a triple track LED configuration with a high degree of built in internal protection. It will project a very wide, even and usable flood of energy rich illumination, removing the risks associated with point source LED lamps. This LED system will both increase visible light levels for terrestrial baskers and provide the energy that is required by plants to grow.
The LED bar creates a vast quantity of light, greatly reducing the need to use large numbers of plant growth fluorescent lamps. Plants need access to the correct quantity of energy and within the correct light spectrum to be able to replace the cells that are either damaged or die off naturally each day. If we under-energize a plant we reduce its ability to create cells through photosynthesis, limiting growth. Typically plants that lack the energy will display discolored leaves and have a tendency to bolt as they grow quickly upwards to be closer to a light source. Healthy plants display good color, strong root networks and grow at a moderate pace, evenly.
PAR (photosynthetic Active Radiation) is the measurement used to quantify and describe the amount of energy that is produced by a light source. PAR levels are increased by two elements within lighting and these are;
1. Quantity of light (Lumen/lux)
2. Accuracy of the spectrum
If a lamp produces light within a spectrum that is close to that of natural sunlight and has a high quantity (lumen output) it will have a high level of PAR. The higher the PAR the more energy there is to cause photosynthesis.
