Does your reptile require high levels of UVB? Are you setting up a large enclosure? The 39-watt T5-HO Bulb is suitable for its high 14% UVB content. This UVB bulb supports desert reptile species synthesis of vitamin D3. Plus, the fixture has a sleek design and specially curved reflector to ensure you use less space while projecting as much light forward as possible. The Kit also arrives with a free link cable which allows multiple units to be powered from a suitable single power source.

The 14% UV bulbs are great for doing free range tortoise enclosures and other similar applications. A great, economical option because these bulbs provide great UV at a distance of two feet (rather than mere inches, which is often the standard).

ProT5 is a highly adaptable lighting kit with high quality internal electronics, a high effective but removable reflector, power cable, fittings kit, free link cable and choice of Arcadia Reptile HO-T5 UV-B lamp.

ProT5 uses the very finest electrical components to ensure safe running and long lamp life. Each bar has inbuilt over-voltage, over current, over heating and short circuit protection. ProT5 is Teflon free and free from any reflector coatings that absorb UV.

Setting Up

Fixtures can be hung one to two feet over cages. Then height adjust to get exact UV levels needed in Beardie, Uromastyx cages. Also suitable for Blue-Tongue Skinks, Frilled Lizard, Agamids, Tortoises, Freshwater Turtles, and Bosc Monitors. Can suspend and adjust over breeding banks of cages. Also can be hung 16" to 24" over whole banks of screen chameleon cages. 

Caution: More is not always better! The 14% bulb is not recommended for close distance (on top of a cage) use as it may be too much UV for most species. This bulb is designed to be used at greater distances over larger areas than the lower output bulbs. Ideally the UV output is dialed in with a UV meter in these circumstances.

Installation note: To get the most life out of your bulb, use a cloth when holding the bulb to protect it against oils on our fingers, and shut off power to the fixture before removing or installing a bulb.
