This 100% natural cork bark is a safe addition to a reptile, amphibian, or invertebrate enclosure. Bean Farm's 12"x15" bag full of cork bark pieces can be used for small vivarium humidity control, climbing, terrarium hideouts, or for use in bioactive terrariums or mounting plants.
All cork bark pieces vary in size from 2"-12" in length and 2"-3" in width and are hand selected by Bean Farm for each bag (12"x15") to ensure quality and variety.
- Simply wash the cork bark by scrubbing it with a brush and water.
- For less bulky pieces, you can disinfect cork bark by boiling it. When necessary, under adult supervision, you can boil the top half of a piece first in a very large pot, then flip the wood to boil the bottom half.
- For larger or bulkier pieces, you can use a freeze/heat method but keep in mind baking wood decor is more dangerous than the recommended methods.
- Always dry out the wood completely before proceeding to add it to custom backgrounds with silicone.
